The house is situated in the outskirts of the city, in a funny little gated community. Actually, it’s not that little, especially the houses. The houses here are quite large, by any standards, and are a bit over the top and gaudy, in my opinion.
The population in this community, aside from Adrian’s fellow pilots, are wealthy Indonesian-Chinese. They like really big, ornate houses. I am quite curious to know what the interiors of these places look like, if they are even filled with furniture, or if it’s just an outside appearance thing, who knows!
Within the community there is a great gym and pool facility, so most days when Adrian heads off to work (thanks babe!), I eat breakfast, usually oats, some yogurt and whatever fresh fruit I can get my hands on
It is this “busy” most days!! Or there are a few people sitting on the machines talking or texting, so for the most part, I have the space to myself.
My sweaty selfie, post workout
Workout wise, I have been doing lots of different things. Interval treadmill running, circuit training, weights, yoga etc. It has been fun to mix things, but I definitely take the time to plan my workouts ahead of time, so I am not there fiddling around and wasting time/energy. I do miss my regular Body Pump classes though.
For today’s workout I did a 20 min treadmill run. For the first 10 mins I did a steady run and for the following 10 mins I maintained speed and increased the incline by 1% each minute, till the 15 min mark and then decreased back down from there. It was a great warm up for sure. I ended up getting to 7%, which was a little challenging.
From there I did three rounds of the following with a 15 lb KB:
- 25 KB swings
- 50 mountain climbers
- 20 sumo squat high pulls
- 10 uneven KB pushups, each arm
- 15 single leg dead lifts, each leg
- 15 KB windmills, each side
- 15 single arm row, each arm
Not sure how long it took me, but it was lots of fun!
I then showered and head to my new office…
The perfect place to read…until I get too hot.
It’s nice to have a sense of routine and a place to call “home” for now. It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for us…
Happy day to you all!
